Today is 10 November 2015
What prompted this jotting down a public diary? Let me explain it.
I had a stroke. Doctors said it was a mild stroke. The date was 31 January 2014. It happened in the left hemisphere of my brain. As the doctors explained it the blood flow to some specific part of the brain was blocked perhaps with some clots, and the brain cells in that area were damaged. Details later.
My right limbs were affected. There was some stiffness in the hand and leg. But fortunately it didn't interfere with my routines. Till 23 June 2015.
On that day I woke up as usual around 3.00 in the morning. As I started my lappy suddenly everything blurred in my vision, as if the lenses in my eyes had lost their alignment. I didn't know what was happening.
It lasted for some five-ten minutes.
Thus started my venture or rather adventure through the world of medicines. I went from doctor to doctor, hospital to hospital, therapist to therapist.
Money was a problem.
I had already hit the bottom when the current chain of events started. Now, with me spending most of the time in one or other hospital or doctor's waiting room, the crunch was much severe.
A fever is a specific thing. A cataract is a specific thing. But a stroke. It is doing random things at random junctures.
Today, from the morning I felt a strange dryness in my mouth. Around 12.00 a website client came. He wanted to make some modifications in his site.
In the middle of the conversation I felt words are not coming out of my throat. The trouble lasted for a few seconds only, but that put me on alert.
If my speech is impaired further, it would be difficult to communicate. I decided to jot down every turn I had taken in my treatment, alternative plans I have for my life, if it is there in the first place, so that anyone in my circle who cares, can grasp what had happened, and facilitate my further groping ahead if they prefer so.
So, here it is, health professionals, my kith and kin, friends and other well wishers.
